This role is based in Waltham, MA with an expectation to work in-person 2-4 days a week depending on priorities for the week.Who We're Looking For:A visionary Principal AI Engineer who's ready to lead the charge in AI innovation within the FinTech space. If you're a thought leader with a proven track record in AI, have a deep understanding of financial systems, and get excited by the intersection of AI and finance, you might be the game-changer we're looking for!The Role:

• Architect and build cutting-edge AI solutions, including end-to-end "agentic" and LLM-driven workflows.
• Collaborate with C-level executives, product leaders, and head of AI, to define our AI strategy and roadmap.
• Ensure our AI models and systems are robust, scalable, and compliant with industry regulations.
• Drive research initiatives to keep us at the forefront of AI in FinTech.Skills & Experience:
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in software development with at least 5 years developing AI/ML powered applications.
  • Deep expertise in state-of-the-art AI technologies, including but not limited to NLP, LLMs, RAG, reinforcement learning, and computational intelligence.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex AI projects in a corporate environment, preferably in FinTech or a related industry.
  • Strong background in financial modeling, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance in the financial sector.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring high-performing technical teams through the process of implementing solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to translate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and thought leadership in AI, evidenced by patents, publications, source code repositories, or speaking engagements.
