Our organization is united in its commitment to public health, particularly among high-risk and underserved populations.The Clinical Research Portfolio Manager - Innovative Cancer Therapies will play a key role in overseeing the management of our Pediatric and Young Adult Cancer Cell Therapy Program, working closely with program director Robbie Majzner. This role will involve managing and directing the portfolio of novel cell therapies being brought to the clinic from our laboratories, with the goal of altering the standard of care and providing new therapeutic options to children and adults with incurable cancers.This position will encompass strategic decision making, program building, regulatory responsibilities, grant/report writing, and translational oversight to ensure effective translation of novel therapies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, planning, outsourcing, resource management, and organization, with the ability to coordinate multiple activities and resources while maintaining a focus on quality.Key responsibilities of this role will include:

  • Under the guidance of Dr. Majzner, strategize on program goals and manage the implementation of program goals and objectives.
  • Manage project scope and timeline through formal change management processes.
  • Manage project issues and risks through standard issue/risk process.
  • Perform need assessments, evaluate and analyze individual program and overall unit or department effectiveness; implement appropriate procedures to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
  • Manage relationships with funders and partners, including cell manufacturing facility, other principal investigators, foundations, biotechs, and pharma partners; lead collaborative meetings; write quarterly to yearly reports for funders, as required, and ensure deliverables are met.
  • Strategize about program funding and assist in the preparation of grant applications.
  • Develop and facilitate or oversee the development and facilitation of workshops, seminars, and orientations.
  • With program growth, may manage a team consisting of project managers and scientists.
  • Draft business plans and strategic documents.
  • Perform regulatory tasks related to IND submissions and annual reports for clinical trials.We offer a competitive salary, with an estimated annual salary of approximately $120,000 - $150,000, based on experience and qualifications.
